On the street I saw a small girl, cold and shivering in a thin dress, with little hope of a decent meal.

I became angry and said to God, “Why did you permit this? Why don't you do something about it?”

For awhile God said nothing. That night as I lay asleep, God replied. “I certainly did do something about it. I created you!”

God of wisdom and mercy, help us to see our place in Your world and that we were created for each other that we might share the love You have for us with others.
